What people are saying about Lucy:
"Dear Lucy,
You are a consummate dancer and capture the Egyptian style with all of its nuances and spirit. (And I am not known to give high praise lightly!!)
Regards,
A'isha Azar"
I LOVE LUCY! This is the first time I have seen [her]. . . I love her relaxed style, natural warmth and unfussy costumes. She has a lovely soft belly and a wonderfully natural form (rare these days) She has the Egyptian style off to a fine art... so unfussy and mersmerising. There are not too many dancers I could watch over and over but she is one of them. A true source of inspiration and should be a big star if not already. We need more of this and less flash!
"I was fortunate to see Lucy live in Chicago when she performed at our humble little hafla held at a rough and ready sports bar on the southside of Chicago called Tommy's Place. Lucy knocked the socks off the owner!"
"I love Lucy!!!! I love all her clips. One of the best dancers I have ever seen."
"I want to dance like Lucy when I grow up."
"The amazing Lucy is, indeed, still in her 20s and a luscious dancer. She's one of my favorites to watch and I'm lucky, seeing as she's pretty local. I have seen her dance on my birthday for the last three years - it's my gift to myself. I wind up in tears every time - she can milk an Om Kolthoum song like no one else." -- Makeda Maysa
